Resilient Faith Ministries – Application for Assistance - Process

Overview

At Resilient Faith Ministries, our desire is to walk alongside those who are going through unexpected life events that are causing a hardship, whether it is the loss of a job, loss of a loved one, concerns with your family, transportation loss, illness, accident, etc. We want to be able to shine the light of God’s love in the darkness that surrounds you. We would love to not only be able to pray for you and with you but would also like to provide what we call a “Blessing Bouquet” of gift cards and other monetary support to lighten the burden. If you or someone you know is experiencing an unexpected hardship, we invite you to fill out the application for assistance.

How It Works

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Funding Availability: The organization must have funding available to support either the full request or a partial request for assistance.

  2. Unexpected Life Event: The individual must provide documentation or evidence of an unexpected life event that has occurred in the last 120 days, such as a house fire, illness, injury, loss of a loved one, transportation loss, spousal separation, loss of employment, or another similar event. The individual must demonstrate that they are facing significant challenges due to said unforeseen circumstance.

Application Submission: Applicants submit a completed application form along with any required supporting documents.

  1. Initial Review: Directors initially review each application to ensure completeness and initial eligibility. Incomplete or ineligible applications are rejected at this stage.

  2. Verification and Assessment: For eligible applications, the organization verifies the information provided and conducts an assessment to determine the applicant's needs and the level of assistance required. This assessment is then provided to a committee of five elected individuals for further review.

  3. Approval Decision: The committee makes a decision on whether to approve or deny the application based on the assessment and eligibility criteria. All decisions are made in accordance with the organization's by-laws and policies.

  4. Notification: The applicant is notified of the decision, including the reasons for approval or denial and any next steps.

    • Approved Applicants: Follow up to provide the agreed-upon assistance and support.

    • Denied Applicants: Provide information on how to appeal the decision if applicable.

  5. Appeals Process: Applicants may appeal the decision by submitting a new application referencing the new, clarifying, or additional information/documentation that will be presented for re-decision. An applicant may only appeal a decision one time.
